Anyone know what the deal is with the clowns who list "six degrees of deception" as an interest, all have strangely capitalized backdated entries, all have accounts created within the last week, and most of whom have icons that depict a pirate?

I think all the six degrees stuff is like a giant goof on acaDEMONic culture? This is not just about livejournal. The first mention I remember was somewhere on Richard Hell's website in '99 or 2000. It's a long-term activism/art/identity project started by Nick Zedd, I believe.
