Anyone know what the deal is with the clowns who list "six degrees of deception" as an interest, all have strangely capitalized backdated entries, all have accounts created within the last week, and most of whom have icons that depict a pirate?

Looks like the meme is two (http://community.livejournal.com/blog_sociology/104281.html) or three (http://www.amazon.fr/Degrees-Inner-Turbulence-Dream-Theater/dp/B00005UEAR) years old. No idea if there's anything behind it. My guess is it's a bunch of Discordian types playing with a cute phrase.

This is not just about livejournal. The first mention I remember was somewhere on Richard Hell's website in '99 or 2000. It's a long-term activism/art/identity project started by Nick Zedd, I believe.
