I'm not sure. I kinda get the impression you miss the symbolism, even tho it's laid out for you.
He's not climbing the WTC towers every time he's threatened.
He's climbing the 9/11 disaster every time he's threatened.

I mean, I know you get it, cuz you're asking, but it's not the WTC he's climbing that makes the point. It's 9/11. See?
they really could be ANY towers. Sears tower. Washington Monument. Big tree in zoo. It's the 9/11 thing he climbs up when he gets threatened.
