soccer report
Jun. 7th, 2006 06:45 pmLast Thursday, Centavo beat Scared Kickless 13-7. They played a man down all game, but we couldn't put them away until 6 minutes were left in the game, when they were simply too tired. At that point we went up 9-7 and scored the rest of the goals easily, while they were too tired to come at us.
I got a nasty scrape on my right knee thanks to their evil plastic turf and a knee pad that doesn't stay on my knee; it's still scabbed and painful. I got to the game late and that usually means a bad game for me, but in this case we also played poor defense, so i wasn't to blame most of the time. Still, a win is a win.

Date: 2006-06-08 05:35 am (UTC)I'm cheering for the US and for Ecuador primarily, then for any underdog (which mostly means the African and Asian teams, plus Australia). I would be happy to see the usual suspects (any country that's won a Cup) eliminated.

Congrats!
