soccer report

Last Thursday, Centavo beat Scared Kickless 13-7.  They played a man down all game, but we couldn't put them away until 6 minutes were left in the game, when they were simply too tired.  At that point we went up 9-7 and scored the rest of the goals easily, while they were too tired to come at us.

I got a nasty scrape on my right knee thanks to their evil plastic turf and a knee pad that doesn't stay on my knee; it's still scabbed and painful.  I got to the game late and that usually means a bad game for me, but in this case we also played poor defense, so i wasn't to blame most of the time.  Still, a win is a win.

Dumb Question Time

Do you always play indoors? Do you prefer that format?

Which team(s) are you cheering for in the World Cup.

I do always play indoors. I don't have a preference; indoor means the game is busier, which is good (more activity) and bad (more chance for injuries). I'd play outdoors if i had the chance.

I'm cheering for the US and for Ecuador primarily, then for any underdog (which mostly means the African and Asian teams, plus Australia). I would be happy to see the usual suspects (any country that's won a Cup) eliminated.

I never liked indoors, but I'm sure it's more convenient most of the time.

Also, I'd like to point out that Scared Kickless is a way less funny version of the classic softball Scared Hitless. But I'm just cranky today.

Congrats!
