How did Leo Kottke record an album before i was born that sounds like it could have been recorded yesterday?  The whole thing is just stunningly good.  "Watermelon" makes me want to smile and cry at the same time.

Yeah. I first heard it about twenty five years ago, and it's still great. If you'd been paying attention, you'd probably have noticed me mentioning it here or there. Unfortunately most of the rest of his work is twaddle; he can't play in ensemble for beans, so track down his solo work.

When you want to get into something more interesting and challenging, I can introduce you to John Fahey's stuff.

Yeah, i've seen many a mention of him, but it wasn't until a coworker lent me the disc that i understood just how good it is.
