heh, I knew even before looking that it had to be Constantine.

We really have no choice here: Keanu must be destroyed before this happens.

"He's hot in the role, he's perfect for Hellblazer because he has that innocent quality about him, a bit naive, but someone you like," [producer Lauren Schuler] Donner says to Zap2it.com. "He's a bit like Tarzan, or a hero like that. But this time, he sends demons to hell."

More crap here (http://www.superherohype.com/constantine/).

He sends demons to hell? Dude, he sends LITTLE CHILDREN to hell. Well, not on purpose.

"...a bit like Tarzan"? I'm thinking more George of the Jungle, but maybe that's just me. Why oh why did this man's acting career span beyond Bill and Ted? At least that was believable, maybe not actually acting, but believable

...uh?

Yeah, let's cast a dark-haired and kind of doofy American as a blond Brit who started off as John Totleben drawing Sting in the background of the Swamp Thing to try to annoy Alan Moore...

for pete's sake...

couldn't they have gotten a good actor? like Sting?

but seriously, there are probably a dozen people who would have been infinitely better choices. off the top of my head: brad pitt, guy ritchie, jude law, bruce willis...

That's how I felt when I heard, some years ago, he was going to play Buddha in thr Bertolucci film.

It turned out more or less OK. A few Shatneresque line readings, but he looked fine in the eyeliner and sarong.

He looks fine in just about anything. It seems to be his one saving grace. (Well, that and the ability to look serene, which stood him in good stead in that movie.)

But, come on. I can't see him in much of, well, any role, really, but especially not a clever wiseass who talks a lot.

Yeah... I read that a week ago or so and didn't want to say anything and reunion anyone's Chris^WMemorial Day. Can't wait to hear his British accent. "Whoa... I know magic!"

This choice (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0326004) bothers me too. He plays a nice Cyclops, sure... but Jesse Custer?

"REUNION"? I meant "ruin". My Freudian slip is showing.
