Date: 2005-01-04 10:18 pm (UTC)For some reason my brain thinks you asked about Sideways on an entry of mine the other day, but I don't see the comment. So I'll just randomly respond here.
I thought Sideways was quite good but not top 10, mostly because while Paul Giamatti was brilliant I couldn't really empathize with his character; it struck me as a little bit too much Alexander Payne making a movie about how much Alexander Payne likes to taste wine and so forth. But it was absolutely top 20 and I will want to see it again; it might rise in my estimation at that point.
