Date: 2004-09-21 05:49 pm (UTC)"Welcome to Creation Science Evangelism. Here at CSE, our goal is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who have not heard, and to strengthen your faith if you are already a believer. We do this by showing how Science actually gives glory to God by supporting the Biblical account of creation. Please enjoy our website as you learn, or shop in our online store."
Science? Where is the science there? (Where, by the way, is the Gospel of Jesus Christ in any of this?? But that's another rant...)
It is no wonder scientists have a hard time "debating" these people. Their worldview is frighteningly myopic and shaped by dogma. If you objectively looked at someone who clung to a belief so fiercely, who was unwilling to listen to ideas outside the mindset that he/she was taught, and fearful and angry of contrary views, you might say that person was brainwashed and a member of a cult.
Aaaaargh
