Some of you might have heard of this already, but for the rest of you, i bring you a true Flash-enhanced nightmare: Dinosaur Adventure Land, a Creationist park that has, among other diversions, "proof" that humans and dinosaurs coexisted.

At first I thought it was funny because it is so upside down. My first thought is that it was a humor site: The dinosaurs went extinct mostly because of the biblical flood, and then people hunted them afterward, so they had little chance of survival. that's pretty funny stuff. But I followed the links to Dr. Dino . . . and discovered this:

"Welcome to Creation Science Evangelism. Here at CSE, our goal is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who have not heard, and to strengthen your faith if you are already a believer. We do this by showing how Science actually gives glory to God by supporting the Biblical account of creation. Please enjoy our website as you learn, or shop in our online store."

Science? Where is the science there? (Where, by the way, is the Gospel of Jesus Christ in any of this?? But that's another rant...)

It is no wonder scientists have a hard time "debating" these people. Their worldview is frighteningly myopic and shaped by dogma. If you objectively looked at someone who clung to a belief so fiercely, who was unwilling to listen to ideas outside the mindset that he/she was taught, and fearful and angry of contrary views, you might say that person was brainwashed and a member of a cult.

Aaaaargh

The Wikipedia page on cults is here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cult). Cults usually try to control their members' minds and behaviors. A group that only deals in ideas is usually called a sect.

So I suppose you could call the CSE folks a sect, but you can't properly call them a cult.

Awesome!

REmember, you can't trust a liar, and you can't rely of the talents of a poor liar.

Thanks creationists for demonstrating the meaning of the word "buffoonery!"

Hmm, did you try the front page (http://www.dinosauradventureland.com/)? That makes it come up in a separate window.

No, it was a "Host not responding" type of error.
