A healthy society needs censorship to survive, 1950s musical icon Pat Boone said yesterday. He added that he would welcome strong content restrictions governing movies and other artistic works.

"I don't think censorship is a bad word, but it has become a bad word because everybody associates it with some kind of restriction on liberty," said Mr. Boone.

After every round of censorship, you have to liquidate the censors, lest they leak their forbidden knowledge.

How about content warning instead? I like knowing ahead of time if there will be boobs, er I mean, content that might not be appropriate for whatever my agenda of the day is? And frankly, I seek out certain content - take the movie "28 days later" for example. I knew exactly what I was in for...
