i couldn't fit "herpes zoucester"
Dec. 18th, 2013 02:32 pmBen Wolfson
If I'd known, I'd never have croucester,
Wouldn't chide, contradict, or accoucester:
The vengeance she brings
Takes down paupers and kings,
The unstoppable Duchess of Gloucester.
ronebofh
I recited a quick Pater Noucester
A vain try for God's favor to foucester
But it fell on deaf ears
My luck was in arrears
I was felled by the Duchess of Gloucester
indisciplined
Aug. 3rd, 2012 11:13 amI write this poem under duress
I'm so involved, i don't know what to think
I repeat myself when under stress
The meter's a shambles, the scansion's a mess
The constraints of the form drive me to drink
I write this poem under duress
Far worse than playing little games like chess
No matter how closely i study it, my thoughts won't link
I repeat myself under stress
I tried looking at it for a whole day, i confess
No matter how i take it apart, my expectations sink
I write this poem under duress
I strive for more and yet end up with less
No matter how i break it down, it's just not my kink
I repeat myself under stress
I don't know whom i'm trying to impress
I feel like a fraud and a fink
I write this poem under duress
I repeat myself when under stress

Corp'rat massa jus' got bought by Adobe
The Macro-Tittie just ran dry
I be weepin' like Niobe
I curse, i scream, i spit and cry,
Should i chop my hair off or use a Flowbee?
I feel like i might want do die,
Should i drink hemlock or drink a Sobe?
Oh Ado-be, oh Ado-bay,
I hope i can work in San Jose!

king of the hill, fool of the vale
men of the plains come to meet for some ale
king down the slope, fool up the grade
a rolling crown rolls its way into the glade
gravity rules in the peaks and the valleys
violence rules in the ring and the alleys
a dagger's a friend and an enemy, too
and every man bleeds when he's stabbed, it is true

schwa242 expressed his displeasure with his freeloading friends. So, since i still owe him, "comment and i'll pick one of your LJ interests and compose a couplet or senryu, a veritable quantum of doggerel, if you will." First come, first served.
Also-or-alternatively, scan my interest list and ask about any that looks odd.

Sep. 19th, 2004 11:13 pmBecause i could not stop the void
it kindly stopped for me
Around me, virtual particles
were struggling to be free
The event horizon loomed above,
oblivion assured
It sucked in all, including light;
our vision it obscured
Its vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
It sucked a part'cle in!
Its mate, alone, was heard to scream,
"I LIVE!" above the din
What fate awaits the little mote
that's lost in that black hole?
Its information will return
someday; that is, its soul
