[livejournal.com profile] pobig introduced me to Grow, a deceptively simple little game. I finally figured out the 'solution' that leads you to maximize every item's level, but getting things 'wrong' can lead to different, cool effects. And, just to prove i'm not lyin':

CONGRATULATIONS! SCORE: 20000

WARNING: Addictive like crack, although probably not as bad as that damned penguin-smacking game

I, too, hate you.
And the girlfriend I used to pay attention to? She hates you too.

I may be the only person who hates that thing. But I dislike black box games in general.

It depends on how much feedback the black box game gives me.

Alternate ending.

Definitely fun. If you haven't seen it, there's an amusing (though less rewarding points-wise) series of events if you take the winning sequence and reverse the order the following 4 items (which I list in no particular order): hills, propeller, tornado, and pipe. A weird creature appears and the mountain sequence plays out differently. The propeller will be destroyed, but there's a weird bonus for it.

Argh. Even with taking detailed notes, an hour of playing with it wasn't enough for me to max everything out. I was able to get all-but-two pretty fast, but I'm stumped from there.

If it's the same two i had trouble with, try putting them in first.

Half an hour of delightful game play. Very nice, indeed. Much better than the penguin game.
