Two weeks ago, on Friday, Centavo bounced back from the previous day's thrashing to beat EPRI United 5-4. It was a tight game all around and i spent the last few minutes yelling at my defense at the top of my lungs to plug up defensive holes, which amused them a bit. I suppose it's a good sign that i had enough energy at the end of the game to yell like that.

Last Thursday, Centavo crushed OCR 14-1. OCR hasn't won a game this session, and for this game they showed up a man short, which led to a profoundly unsatisfying game. Their lone goal came off a weird bounce where their striker turned and kicked the ball against the side wall in a strange attempt to pass into space; the ball instead headed towards my near post with a weird spin, which made the ball hop off the ground and my arm and over and by the time i caught up with it, it had crossed the goal line. By the last bit of the second half, the OCR guys were gassed, so we tried working more on passing than scoring. I also came out of goal to let someone else have some time there, and i managed to score a goal. Not bad, but not exactly fulfilling.
