Two weeks ago was a rough stretch, with two games in two days. Thursday, we lost to SF Up Savages 10-3, and on Friday we tied Umbros 6-6 in a dreaded 23:25 game. There's little to tell about the former game, other that we were short again on subs; the latter game was better because finally had two subs and that made enough of a difference on the field players' condition. A third sub would've let us win, i believe. Both teams each scored a goal on goalie manual carelessness (although at least i didn't actually knock the ball into the goal, like the other guy did).

Yesterday, we lost 11-7 to CAMF in a game where i showed up 5 minutes late due to a work-related emergency, and then i quickly let in 2 soft goals once i got into the game. It turned out that nobody else got much of a warmup because the ref decided to upbraid half our team because our jersey numbers are a little off (some of the digits are blacked out to make them look like a different number), and apparently he was quite hostile about it, like we were trying to cheat. These are the jerseys we play in EVERY week, man! We're close to getting new jerseys, anyway, but it's a pain whenever a ref decides to enforce some rule in a meticulous and inflexible manner and, to top it off, has to be a jerk about it.
