We played Friday at 23:25 and lost badly, 9-2. We were down 2-0 at the half, but at the beginning of the second half we struck quickly to even the game up. Then, after their goalie scored on me with a nice bending shot (aided in small part by my less-than-full-effort save attempt) to make it 4-2, the rest of the guys got a little desperate in trying to score, and left me hanging out to dry. At one point i took a shot to the nuts (note to self: wear cup next game). This all led to me blowing my cool with about 45 seconds to go and clearing the ball very, very hard... into one of their guys' face. Christ, i felt like such a tool. Everybody took it well, all things considered. My left knee has been ground into the turf so much that i think my bruise is getting bruised (note to self: get a knee pad, too).
