itunes breakage

I exported my library from the old laptop so i could import it on the new one, but it barfs on any entry that has a two-byte Unicode character. Needless to say, i am underwhelmed.

UPDATE: Exporting as a "song list" creates a plain text file (whereas exporting as a "library" creates an XML file) which is perfectly legible to iTunes. DUH DUH.

On an only tangentially related note, you may be interested to note that there's a new release of Are You Experienced? with the original track listing restored, and the inferior tracks, including the one you mention here, moved to the end of the disc.

I know I was; I wish I'd held out for somebody to get it right.

It is possible that i have this version. I seem to recall that "51st Anniversary" was near the end. I'll check when i get home.
