Am i the only person who can't even try to get into a game if the setting just doesn't appeal to me? I mean, rationally, the setting is not half as important as the game master. And yet, if i find the scenario pointless, i just can't put my mind in that world.

Then again, i suspect that's why so many gamers mock D&D.

I'm there with you. I'm also the same with books... I don't care how well written something is if I'm not even remotely interested in the subject matter.
