There's a new production being put on for a musical based on the Patty Hearst kidnapping by the SLA.  It's called "Symbionista!"

I'm assuming that ALW is too busy with that Phantom of the Opera sequel set on Coney Island. I wish I were making that up.

It's just getting harder and harder to parody anything.

I didn't really realize Andrew Lloyd Webber was a living human being until I read this post. I always sort of assumed he was a by-product of mining operations, or something that got shipped around the country in trucks.

A few years after I wrote Evel! The Musical, I heard about actual plans to do an Evel Knievel rock opera. I don't know if anything came of it.

Dear god yes. There were ads for it all over the tube in London when I was there in November.

And Ron, where's the radio button for "I totally believe it" ?

Since IF it were true
THEN it would be the clear and compelling argument for torture!
{ it's in the bible, you can look it up. }

That's a good reason to torture Andrew Lloyd Weber, even if it's NOT true.

It's not true, but should be.

My original assumption was that it was playing at the annoyance theatre in Chicago, purveyor of Manson the Musical and other similar crimes against good taste and rational behavior (ie: awesome.)

What the world must know is if the SLA would've preferred Symbian phones or not.

no, just say no!

Between the MSNBC Witness ads and the musical of The 39 Steps (which I see just closed today), I totally bought it.

I'd find it more believable as a John Adams opera.

Sondheim could make it work.
