In 20/20 hindsight, I really should have walked out when it became apparent that he really was going to graft the fucking dragonriders of pern onto the damn thing.
I saw erogon, or some such, which was about tawdry tarts lobbing dragon eggs at young boys in the hope of getting a date or some such.
It is so hard for me to keep these dragon flying thingie tales separate.
But then again, I have been cheesed off ever since they pinched the family tradition of "dragon slaying" for 'lair of the white worm'. The got points for the roots music and understanding the linguistics, but death by killer dildoes... tacky!!!

The Pern stuff was written by a woman who, along with Isaac Asimov, loved the IBM Selectric because they typed at 100wpm and nothing else kept up with them. Spew spew spew.
Clearly abusing the Ewoks is a sign of satanic cult ritualisms! Which means we should bomb someone to stop those type of people! Clearly we should bomb MexiKanukiStania until those evil liberals learn to respect the Sanctity of All Ewokian Life!!!
