Randy Johnson, all of 40 years old, pitched a perfect game against the Braves (who yesterday had already gotten whupped by Ben Sheets and 18 strikeouts).  Jason Schmidt had a nearly perfect game, allowing only one hit and one walk against the Cubs, but throwing 144 pitches in the process.  Add that to 123 and 122 pitches in his previous two outings, and coming into the season with nagging questions about injuries, and it is unlikely he'll make it through the season unscathed.

Damn, that's a nice lemon. Makes me homesick - I grew up with one of these giant-lemon producing trees in my backyard.

It had a thicker rind than its regular-sized siblings, but not half. The people in back have pomellos which are more than half rind, and mold really fast.

The giant-lemon producing tree is actually a pomelo (http://whatscookingamerica.net/pomelo.htm). My grandfather had one. The lemon in Ron's hand is actually from the lemon tree in our front yard, and it's a regular, old, tart, good for making lemonade and lemon meringue pie kind of lemon. The skin is normal thickness.

pfffft. people who use IE should actually install Privoxy (http://www.privoxy.org/). not a spyware-buster (I rely on my antivirus for that,) but it blocks ads and the like.
