huge tracts of nerdage ahead
Apr. 1st, 2003 09:44 pmThis is
mahdi's fault.
Years RPing: Hmm, hard to say. My brother, my cousin Francisco and i played D&D (pre-AD&D) for about 5 years or so. Then i stopped playing when i went to college, and started again after i moved in with Kim, so it's probably been another 5 years of that.
Least favorite character: A sorcerer whose name escapes me. The character was actually supposed to be based on me; his game and physical stats resembled mine. In a huge fit of irony, i could never get into the character and abandoned him after one game.
Favorite 3:
- Hôlg, a half-orc bard. Unlikely but lots of fun. Witty, adaptable. The only bard i've played successfully.
- Thack, a human warrior. Doomed, doomed, doomed. He knew it, too. His life ended when he and others were captured, and he saw the others being taken over by some sort of reptilian humanoid and he tried killing himself with his sword because he'd lost his dagger. He failed, but managed to be cut down trying to run away.
- Hrgal, a half-orc cleric/thief. His patron deity is St. Alia of the Knife. He's just a little spooky, which helps in converting people. Likes knives.
Oldest character: The troika of Ulysses (fighter), Keith (dwarf [best. dwarf name. ever]), and Norlan (halfling). The first character i played in my second D&D run is Demorr (NERD ALERT: named after dmr [Dennis M. Ritchie, one of the two fathers of the C programming language and UNIX]), an elven mage.
Oldest currently in play: Demorr.
Newest: Huáscar, a human cleric.
Most popular: I'm gonna guess Hurtado, a fighter/thief with a weird demon-like buddy. He's a nice fellow but tends to get in over his head... well, he used to until he got Babbitt (the demon, so named because that's the [only] noise he makes).
Character never played: A small handful, none named.
Which character of yours would be most likely to:
Jump off a bridge: Probably Hurtado.
Get drunk and pass out: The well-named Bordon Giersch (a friend [not in the game] spoonerized the unspeakably heinous Gordon Biersch and i took the surname for the already named Bordon)
Kill someone in an unorthodox manner: M'vanza
Get married: Cuautémoc, a twice dual-classed mage/cleric/fighter human, who would be the best fighter i have if it weren't for his frighteningly low hit points, is married.
Be too hyper: Joe, a human fighter whose notable characteristic is being painfully average (just an average Joe, get it? ahh, never mind).
Star in a horror movie: Arnaud Platinix, Gaulish bard who already saw his best friend, a halfling thief, be smashed to paste by a trap.
Star in a video game: Hurtado (mit sidekick!)
Make the world a better place: Bordon
Character who best exemplifies each following word:
Love: Quiroz, a dwarven cleric.
Hate: Rald, an evil halfling thief. He seethes.
Family: Cuautémoc and his daughter Quetzal, a half-elven thief/mage.
Money: Cuautémoc.
Seduction: None
Lies: Rald
Tragedy: Thack
Comedy: Bordon
Manipulation: M'Vanza
Violence: M'Vanza
Politics: Cuautémoc
Fire: M'Vanza
Ice: Rald
Would you ever play:
A prostitute: I guess so.
A musician: Already have.
A pilot: Sure.
A homosexual: Sure.
A Politician: Not as a PC. No future in it.
A character for the sole purpose of smut, involved in an incestuous relationship, or is a pedophile: No, no, no.
