We just had a small shaking quake and i estimated it at 4.3.  The USGS initially rated it a 4.4, but now they've updated the magnitude to 4.3.  Damn, i'm good.

Well, yes. You can lean over and see what the earthquake machine is set to.

No screaming, no lights going out, no beams and ceiling collapsing. It says a lot about the quality of the meeting I was in that this disappointed me.

during a teleconference. San Jose lab was told to evacuate, while someone at home across town didn't feel it at all.

I was in a 4.3 once-- on the 9th floor of a concrete dorm at UW, and it felt like someone had grabbed the back of my chair and was shaking it just to annoy me. At perhaps a 4.0, it would've been enough to say "knock that off!" but at 4.3, I had said "knock it off, asshole!" before I turned around to find that nobody was shaking my chair.

Still, well spotted. So to what seismic lab do the local news crews go in order to get an authoritative scientific measurement of the quake?

P.S. My entire city will one day be destroyed by Earthquake, you insensitive clod!

why didn't you talk first????

Clearly if you had explained to the Earth that it should do the right thing and restore the HomeLand Security Investment Bubble, then that would have been notable...

As it is, you are merely one more of the Dirt Worshippers Causing the Horror of It all....

That and bogging down the connections to USGS to see, "am I right". I mean I had to wait a Freaking minute or so to be SHOWN that I RULE! then of course liberals like you Imposed your evil agenda and downgraded it to a mere 4.3 because of your Hard Left Agenda...

Slept through it.

I'm a native and I never noticed a quake until I was an adult. I was always asleep or riding the short bus for a long time. (In the short bus people look at you pityingly so you make faces at them.)
