I'll endure it as long as you remember that July 31 is St. Ignatius of Loyola's Day, patron saint of the Basque Country, and if you're wearing the wrong color, i get to kick you in the crotch.

As far as I can tell, given my pitiful knowledge of heraldry, the colors of St. Ignatius' coat of arms are green, black, and silver.

If so, his love was retrospective; the only raiders in Basque country that I know of were the Visigoths, several centuries before.
