"Reid Fleming, World's Toughest Milkman" was a lot like Milk & Cheese, even if you ignore the milk connection. I reread both series several times.
In my head, the names on the opposite poles of the "wasting comic page space" continuum are Dave Sim and Evan Dorkin. That the "Merv Griffin" strip is an exception just makes it funnier.
