What he said was "You jerks stole my thunder by attributing my words to the clueless windbag before me. And now my wit is gone from the original article!" I thought he meant "because of that" by "and now", and was saying something like "because you misattribute it, I don't get credit for my wit that is visible in the original article".

I guess it makes more sense, given the state of the world, that he meant "and, as it turns out, now my wit is gone". However, this was not initially obvious to me, especially since I couldn't even tell what comment section he was referring to in the first place (since, of course, his wit is gone).

I think I'd be more annoyed at THE GUY WHO DELETED THE COMMENT, but whatever.
