Today's peeve is people who, probably as an extension of fancy plurals such as "indices" from "index", pronounce "processes" as "process-seas."

Oh, and instead of just saying "process-seas" i should say "pro-cess-seas" to give that extra little kick. As Emeril would say: BAM!

I wonder if there are Canucks who do that. I can tolerate "pro-cess" and even admire it over the lame American "prah-cess".

I briefly considered taking it a step further and applying the pronunciation to verbs—"She pro-cess-seas the paychecks"—but that's too far, even for me.
