Oddly, i'm not a Neil Young fan at all, but i love Michael Hedges.  However, Hedges's cover of the below song bores me, but the original enchants me.

I, too, do not like Neil Young.
And I find that the Cowboy Junkies cover of "Powderfinger" is great, wheareas his original...bleah.

I am a fan of many of Hedges' live covers though.
