My boss is being forced to quit within the next month or two by his boss's boss. I'm feeling just a wee bit angry at the moment.

My sympathies. Just been through that at work, more or less. My personal moratorium forbids further discussion of that topic until next year, however.

My ex-husband was put in a similar situation earlier this year but was fortunate in that the company let him make use of an office and phone for several months (during which time his departure was not public news). I knew in the spring and didn't tell anyone outside of family until just now because, well, Phred asked that it be kept quiet until he found a new job.

The reason for his departure from Hummingbird came down to a personality conflict and too much integrity.

Patrick is getting the boot? :-( dude that's like a macromedia all time low right there. He was someone I looked up to and enjoyed arguing with when I wanted to do my scripts in BASH and spent hours coming up with some kick ass scripts, to have him tell me to redo them all in ksh...hehe, and the times of terrorizing him by doing it all in bash just to hear him tell me it's 'easier' to do it in ksh.

That's sad that he's gettin' booted :-( Drop me his contact info sometime, wouldn't mind keepin' in touch.
