Some of you might remember a time when i was very unhappy with Captain NT (whom i have since renamed Captain Exchange due to a refocusing of his duties). One of the directors on the data warehousing side got tired of dealing with politics and is pulling up roots and going back to Colombia with his family; his vacancy was filled by the CIO with the IT senior director; the IT Ops director was promoted to IT SD, and the Windows manager was promoted to IT Ops director. No problems there, but then they decided to re-org. HEY, WHY NOT? The net result is that we no longer have a Windows group, a UNIX group, and an Enterprise Messaging group, but three different groups: Hardware/OS, Apps/Services, and Data Center Management. CE ended up as manager of Apps/Services, and asked to have me transferred to his team. So here i am, with a new boss whom i've historically disliked. Our first team meeting occurred Tuesday and went well, so i'm optimistic, but i'm still a bit wary.
