last five CDs i played: "The Essential Charlie Parker", "Buena Vista Social Club", "Cow Cow Boogie" (a compilation of jazz tracks from 1943), "West Coast Jazz" (another compilation), and Marti Jones, "Any Kind of Lie" (not actually jazz).
