royce mitchell finds freedom

Yep, got fired.  I saw it coming, too, after something broke on my way in to work.  I said to myself, "I bet he's going to turn this into the excuse he wants to fire me."  Sure enough, he thought that i should have handheld the project manager (who called me) to troubleshoot the issue, and to guide him on the phone to power-cycle the machine.  I thought, "Why the hell would i assume the project manager has keys to the server room?"  He grumbled about the train delaying my arrival to work and i pointed out that, had i been driving, i would still have been far from work.  He responded by pantomiming himself troubleshooting the problem on the phone while driving.  I tried not to stare too much.

Anyway, i already have résumés out at Apple and Danger.  I think i'll spend next week having lunch with [livejournal.com profile] erikred and cleaning the garage so we can close our storage locker.  Anyone else want to spend some time with me?  Just drop me a line.  After all, i have no pressing engagements!  LOLOLOLOL*BANG*

fuck.

where I work, using the phone while you drive GETS YOU A TRAFFIC TICKET.

it's a FEDERAL OFFENSE.

No joke.

And it makes you eligible for Donald Rumsfeld's personal shit list.

Oh, well. You don't need condolences from the likes of me. But let me know if you and Kim decide you want to move to Alabama.

But I still love you, right?

I suppose the nice thing about companies that hire managers that fire people like you is that one doesn't need to ask the gods to damn them, since they've already damned themselves. Still, may Klortho's judgment be swift and merciless.

Congratulations on the escape.

Gr. I'm sorry. But I guess things can only go up from here, so good luck with everything.

Hell with him. You're better off.

I'd love to come down there and hang out but just came back from a trip to a zillion emails.
