Last night, Centavo defeated NV United 10-4, in a game they played two men short in its entirety.  Not much to talk about; i was a little rusty after a two week layoff, but nothing really worth mentioning.

Tonight, Centavo beat Blue Bandids 7-5 in a tightly fought game.  I ran out to cut off a loose ball and got boarded for my trouble; the back of my head hit the wall.  The ref didn't call a foul even though the guy extended his arms when he hit me.  About halfway through the second half, the ref red-carded a Blue Bandid for not wearing shinguards; although the rules clearly state that one must wear shinguards, a red card seems excessive.  My teammates said the ref was not paying attention during random parts of the game; near the end, i fell outside the box and handled the ball, but no whistle was heard.  Despite the ref, it was a good game, but now i have to go nurse the lump on my head and the rest of my aches and pains.

Yes. Good game! I sure was scared when your head hit that wall. It make the loudest crack you ever heard. I was sure I was going to have to take you to the hospital. But you just bounded back up and shook it off. My studly hubby!

Are the refs players from other teams, or are they provided by the league? If the former, I'd be more inclined to cut them some slack, if that makes sense...

Also, playing two nights running must be pretty hard on some fot he outfield players. Were they suffering in the second half, or do you just have a big squad?

I think some of them play, but not all of them do.

Thursday's game was a bit of a stroll due to the numerical advantage, and we had plenty of subs in both games anyway.
