My shoulders hurt, goddammit. Yellow fever (subcutaneous), typhoid, tetanus, and hepatitis A (intramuscular) inoculations to prepare for my Ecuador trip. I also gave the folks at the clinic some advice regarding their domain name (namely, transfer it away from N$I, pronto).

This reminds me of when Audrey and I went to central america - we got the bulk of the shots on the same day, and the place where we got 'em is on one of the busiest shopping streets in Dublin. So there we were, in the middle of a crowded street, trying our best to avoid jostling anyone and mostly being incapable of moving our arms around. OW OW OW OW OW.

N$I's monopolistic behavior was fairly evident early in the game; they were sued over their $50/yr fee for domains and forced to cut it to $35/yr (and, i think, issue refunds to some). They're still charging $30/yr when a modicum of research will yield registrars who charge $10 to $15/yr. If you need make a change that requires a person's attention, it can take forever. Plus, they were bought by Verisign —no stranger to monopolistic behavior such as buying out competitors— for the main goal of inheriting their considerable customer database for marketing purposes.
