It's been a while, eh?  I missed the first game of the session, which we lost 6-4 against Kosoc, which result made my absence even more irksome to me.  Then we lost the next two games, versus Umbros (8-7) and C.A.M.F. (12-4).  We broke the streak by winning last week, beating Crystal Pirates by something like 12-5.  I've been unhappy enough with my recent play that i'm going to sign up for a weekly goalkeeping clinic, so i can work on my mental game and my fundamentals; simply put, i seem to be coming out too soon, i can't hang onto the ball (despite the new gloves that Kim got me for Xmas), and i don't seem to be able to close down the shooter's angle as well as i think i should.  We'll see how things go.

Weren't you guys bumped up to a level that was kind of high for you last year? (Though you seemed to end up doing rather respectably at the end.) Are you back at your proper level now?

Yep, we are, and we're still crazily inconsistent, even if we have a good number of bench players. I suspect that in each 8- or 9-team division, 5 or 6 teams are representative of the talent level you'd expect in that division, and the rest are just a bunch of random-quality players who play there because that's the only day they can play. So we beat the stragglers last session, but got killed by the rest.

We've actually registered for next session in the next division down, to see if we can reach our level of incompetence.
