Warren Ellis linked to The Peekaboo Paradox, an article written about a child entertainer who is incredibly successful at his job.  The article is superbly written.  I don't want to go into more detail because i don't want to spoil it in any way.

I read that linked from a couple other places, I think The Volokh Conspiracy (http://www volokh.com) and James Lileks' blog. Lileks uses the word 'Pulitzerian', and he may not be far off. It's journalism like we rarely see these days.

Gene Weingarten clearly owes a debt of gratitude to the late Hunter S. Thompson for discovering the gonzo method of journalism. I'm shocked this ran in the Post.

Gene Weingarten has written several excellent pieces - one about a search for an elementary school sweetheart (http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A47809-2001Feb9?language=printer) and another about fear in Israel. (http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A15004-2004Aug19?language=printer)
He has also does a pretty decent weekly humor column. (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/linkset/2005/03/25/LI2005032501927.html)
Oh, and one final thing: A really addictive weekly online chat. (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/linkset/2005/03/24/LI2005032401870.html) (Sadly, I think you have to be signed in in order to read these.

Thanks a lot for this, Rone. I've played the clown at a few parties for kids, but this makes me want to refine my act.
