Well, i seem to be viewing it in an optimistic fashion, so i'd say that as he was evidently younger than the rest, he'll just take the dunk, walk out, and try again next year, older and wiser, and take off.

I'm trying to look at it as a straight story, devoid of symbology, but i tend towards literalism, too.

Hmm, interesting, but probably not since they're already flying. Then again, that one kid keeps looking back... "Hmm, did he hit the rocks yet? No... no... ok, he's all dashed, we cool."
