Hey, the pub everyone is in front of is pretty decent. (It's in Tokyo, in Ebisu, one train stop south of Shibuya, for, you know, future reference. You know you're going to want to visit a pub in front of which a bunch of Japanese kids took pictures of Elmo with their phones.)
I would definitely want to recreate it if i were there. I'd just pull passers-by in and stage them taking a picture of me with their phonecams and then have Kim take a picture of it all.
Dude, that's hilarious. FYI, I have given myself a self-imposed ban on Paul Phillips' website, for an indefinite period of time, lest I beat you out for number of posts. Maybe I'll start posting here and harass you instead! Take it easy.
I checked out your profile. As your stalker, I need to see whose journal I am posting to (unfortunatly, I'm not a hot chick, I am just a dude who likes reading blogs about funny crap). Anyhow, get yourself a copy of the PJ/ Sleater kinney version of "hunger strike" from Mexico city last year, if you don't have one already, it's pretty cool. I am seeing PJ in Philly this Monday nite, possibly in atlantic city this weekend, but tix for that one are ridiculous. later.
You know, i'm the biggest Pearl Jam fan i know; i love all their albums and scoff at the lusers who say that Ten is their only good album. But i've never caught them live. Whenever they come around here, they always play at the Shoreline Amphitheater and i hate that venue. But i'm just gonna have to buckle down and go next time they're around. I eagerly await their new album.
Are you gonna post a concert review to your journal, or is it a poker-only zone?
This PJ concert will be #11 or 12 for me. Hate to rub it in, but I lost count. Anyhow, my poker is so bad lately, I may just post a concert review. Remind me and I'll do something. I may be biased, but I know for a fact this band loves coming to Philadelphia, and I'm pretty sure it's their first show at this venue. Should be a GOOD-WAHN!
this is my picture. thanks for posting it... it's actually in osaka at the universal studios theme park. ... and I am the biggest pj fan there is. keep rocking everyone.

Date: 2005-09-29 06:22 am (UTC)Hmm, the dude says it's way down in Osaka. BUT I KNOW THAT PUB!!11 And my coworker sitting by me recognized it too.
The obvious conclusion is that there is a real pub in Ebisu that exactly duplicates a fake pub in Universal Studios in Osaka.
Japan is weird enough that I could easily believe that this could happen by accident.
