I briefly read that as a suggestion to visit my closed comics shop, which isn't quite the free comics they meant, I guess.

Also, your curious American day doesn't apply in this part of the world, I imagine.

Also also I'm not going more than a half-mile from the house today if I can help it, and the only comics shop I know is on Georges Street, about ten miles from here.

I would suggest you berate the folks on Georges Street to get with the program for next year. Contact any Irish publishers, too. MOBILIZE YOURSELF, CITIZEN!
