department of homeland fearmongering

Yesterday, while Kim and i were enjoying delicious Mexican food after a vigorous couple of hours in the garden, i heard the most abhorrent commercial on the Mexican radio.
So, Mommy's putting her kid to bed, and the kid says, "Mommy, leave the light on, i'm scared," and she says, "It's OK, you're safe here."
"What about the monster under my bed?"
"Your teddy bears will keep him away."
"What about the boogeyman?"
"Your guardian angel will take care of him."
"What about if a terrorrist shows up, like i saw on TV?"
"Ummm..."
Then a soothing voice comes on talking about how DHS is on the case and how we have to help in any way we can.
Good thing i was done eating, or i might have lost my appetite.
