When the ref decides, during warmups, to take a shot at the goal, except he misses the goal and hits you in the ear as you're stretching... well, it's just not a good start.

Centavo lost 11-4 to Qualitau, a team we utterly crushed last session.  They had a bunch of new players who were very good.  One guy had one hell of a touch and constantly shot at my far post with great accuracy and quickness, whether i stood my ground or ran out to meet them.  They won every 50/50 ball that came towards us.  My defense left me alone sometimes, but also just plain got beat.  We actually had subs this time, but it didn't make a difference.  Kim pointed out that our forwards kept shooting the ball AT the goalie, instead of the parts of the goal where the goalie wasn't.  Bleh.  I'm sore and cranky.

Yeah, right at the goalie. They didn't make the goalie work at all. I wanted to badly to yell and curse at them, but there's a "no cursing" rule at Off The Wall.
