SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A legislative effort to ensure people know that the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim aren't from Los Angeles fizzled in a Senate committee.

It's hard for me to deride people who consider legislative gridlock a feature when shit like this keeps happening.

You do know, don't you, that there was a legislative push to ban Arnold's smoking tent? They won't deal with restructuring the state budget, redistricting, or grappling with population explosion and changing demographics, but they for damn sure want to make sure the governor can't go outside to that silly tent and light up a cigar.
