A while ago, tongodeon chided me for calling Tom DeLay a criminal.  Well, i have some company.  Not that this is a good thing, i guess.

To clarify it wasn't a chide, it was a request for more information since I didn't know a lot about DeLay's legal troubles at the time.

Republican1: "(Our opponent) should be indicted as a criminal for something I thought about him doing. Furthermore, he has probably abused his wife and he lies about his war record."
Republican2: "(Our opponent) is not only all that, but his daughter is ugly and probably isn't his."
Republican3: "(Our opponent) would have been convicted of all these things and shot at dawn already if it wasn't for the left-wing media's unwillingness to run our contrived allegations without hesitation."

Democrat1: "(Our opponent) is currently investigated by law officers for committing tangible crimes for which the circumstantial evidence is so obvious it's only a tribute to the banana republic status of our nation that he hasn't already been put in the pokey."
Democrat2: "Good lord, that's a horrible thing to say, even if the substance of your allegation is perfectly valid. Please retract it."
Democrat3: "I deny any personal contact between myself and Democrat1, and furthermore reach out as a member of the opposition to the ruling party to ensure there are no hard feelings and maybe next time (Our opponent) jams a plunger up my ass he'll use a little lube."
