The OED also defines "rape" and a bunch of other words. This doesn't mean rape is "mainstream (http://www.livejournal.com/users/tongodeon/24571.html)", it just means there's public awareness of the concept. There's things which make me think I might lose the bet, but this isn't one of them.

Those of you who played C-64 games back in the day probably know who Jeff "YaK" Minter (http://www.llamasoft.co.uk/) is. YaK was the creative mind behind a stream of classic 8-bit shoot-em-ups, almost all of which involved llamas and sheep. The man has a sincere fondness for hooved mammals -- perhaps a bit too much, though nothing that can be proven.

When his Tempest 2000 game (the only reason to own an Atari Jaguar) was ported to the PlayStation, he reviewed it. Among his comments was the following:

- 2K mode should not have been hidden. And the code for accessing it -
I could have understood some bovine or ungulate reference, but "yiff!"?
