Last Thursday, Centavo beat Scared Kickless 13-7.  They played a man down all game, but we couldn't put them away until 6 minutes were left in the game, when they were simply too tired.  At that point we went up 9-7 and scored the rest of the goals easily, while they were too tired to come at us.

I got a nasty scrape on my right knee thanks to their evil plastic turf and a knee pad that doesn't stay on my knee; it's still scabbed and painful.  I got to the game late and that usually means a bad game for me, but in this case we also played poor defense, so i wasn't to blame most of the time.  Still, a win is a win.

Most of you can't see this, because it's behind ESPN's INsider subscription service, but Chris Sheridan publicly thanked me for sending him my mom's sore throat remedy:

Many thanks to all who e-mailed laryngitis remedies after my last blog entry, especially to Ron Echeverri in San Jose, Calif., whose microwaved lime, honey and water method actually provided temporary relief.
I didn't say anything about water, though.  Ah well.  The remedy follows: take a small amount of honey, nuke it until it's very hot, squeeze half a lime into it, and sip a teaspoonful at a time.  It must be as hot as you can stand it, and you must sip.
