Today is sucking mightily, and i know there's more suck to come. But this track is proving to be quite a soothing balm.

So today consisted of meetings, tedious micromanagement, and debugging a modem. YES, A FUCKING MODEM. JUST SHIP ME BACK TO ISP TECH SUPPORT, WHY DONCHA.

Next week is a bye week... so why were we (and six other teams in our league) scheduled two games this week? Buncha fuckin' mental cases handling the scheduling, i swear...

Yesterday, we lost to Crystal Pirates, 7-4. This game was marred by many miscues on our part, about half of which were my fault... i had poor aim AND i hurried outlet passes. Today, we also lost against our nemesis, The Kids, 4-3. I let in a soft goal to start things off; their big shooter messed me up with a half-strength shot which i thought i had, but it came off my fingertips and it fell behind me into the goal. Real cheesy. The game was practically normal compared to last session's slugfest, though, which was quite a relief. Besides the cheese goal, i think i did well, especially coming out. One play i enjoyed was watching Big Shooter line up for an indirect free kick. In our last game, he shot an indirect free kick straight at the goal, which i tried to stop but failed. Andy pointed out that, since it was indirect, if i let it go in, it would not count and instead it would be a goal kick. So this time, i saw him sizing up the goal, so i just let him have it. He shot it in, and the ref says, "Goal kick." HA! Still, we lost. Feh.

Clear your calendars for the Nov 14-16 weekend. I'll turn 31 on the 14th, and i'm celebrating a prime birthday in a prime year. It's not lame-o 30th birthday, because everyone does that, and not computer nerdy 32, AKA 100000. It's not too nerdy — the nerdiness quotient is just right.

Logistics are being considered, but something will happen.
