This is a background image that ESPN.com uses as part of its style on its SportsNation pages (chats and polls, mostly).

Looks like file corruption to me. It displays properly when I hit the page.

By "properly" you probably mean that the transparent pixels show through to the background color, but the horrible stippling effect remains. That's how i noticed that the image sucks.
