I normally take the Baby Bullet train to work, but being shot out of a gigantic cannon is getting old and the Gs are killing my back.

Coolest thing about the bullet train is that the acceleration is very gradual: it's just sustained for several minutes.

I can't wait for the Linear Express (http://linear.jr-central.co.jp/), which will hit 581km/hr.

Will it go faster if I'm not going to be out for an hour?

You should ask to have a new landing net installed at your office. I was reading recently that nets more than 18 months old lose a lot of their resiliency and are believed to contribute to repetitive strain injuries.

Also, is your pod fitted correctly? I had a pod that was too big a couple of years ago, and there was just too much room to be thrown around in there. Especially if you're having a multi-cannon commute, and you change vectors a lot.
