Strictly speaking, the total eclipse starts at 7:23pm PDT. More info from NASA (http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/LEmono/TLE2004Oct28/TLE2004Oct28.html).
Ya know, I was just figuring out (a) angle of earth's shadow cone, (b) orbital speed of moon, (c) time for moon to cross shadow cone, and (d) time of day moon leaves penumbra.
on the off-chance that (i) it would be after 7 a.m. local time, and (ii) skies will be cloud-free.
But 0115 UTC means I'll give up and stick with dreaming then.
