soccer report (old and new)

The last time played with Fubar was between trips, and we won 13-3 versus Fury, which played the whole game short a man. The game was completely un-fun for me due to that. After i came back, the captain informed me that his old goalie was back for the next session and thus i wouldn't be needed anymore (except as a sub, which probably won't crop up anyway).

Blasters re-upped me, though, and i played my first game of the session (their third) on Monday; we lost to Baunfire 8-6 in a game where we dominated early but only had a one-goal lead at the break. We then ran out of gas and we were down quickly. I was a bit rusty, doling out the ball poorly on occasion and making a couple of panicked decisions, and all the flopping about has given me a couple of very sore arms. It's good to be back, though; a month off is too much.

Tell me about it. I haven't played since injuring my back in May.

I managed to hurt my back a little as i was stretching before i went to sleep. How's your back now?

It's better than it was, but still not right. It still tends to be very tight between my shoulder blades, and tehre are ominous cracklings when I try to stretch things. Also, there's a lump on my spine: the GP doesn't seem to be worried by it but it does seem to be at the epicentre of a lot of tension (whether that's for physical or psychological reasons). I think it could be a while yet (possibly another incarnation) before I feel up to playing soccer again.
